Start with the export
you already have.
Weekly reads summary files. You don’t need to enter a new spreadsheet every week if your existing export matches this format.
Before you export
Your till or point-of-sale (POS) system records your sales. Open its Reports area and look for a sales summary grouped by date, then Export as CSV. A CSV is a table file, not a screenshot or PDF. Export options differ: Weekly does not connect to your POS automatically or support every native export unchanged.
Net sales means sales after discounts and refunds, excluding tax and tips. Keep the same definitions in both weeks. Leave missing optional costs blank rather than entering zero.
The smallest file that works
A CSV or TSV with a Week start column containing a Monday date, and Net sales excluding tax and tips. Example:
Week start,Net sales 2026-10-05,12000
Alternatively, use one row per business date for all seven days, Monday through Sunday. Add a zero-sales row for closed days. With multiple restaurants, include a consistent Location column.
One week establishes a baseline. Include the preceding complete week for changes and comparisons. Do not relabel a Tuesday–Monday total as a Monday week; use daily summaries to rebuild comparable Monday–Sunday weeks.
Add what you have
Labor cost, Paid hours, Guests or Orders are optional. Labor can be included in the sales file or supplied separately with the same dates and location names. Keep customer counts consistent; guests and orders measure different things.

If an upload doesn’t work
- “No complete week”
- Include every business date Monday–Sunday, or a Monday Week start total. An incomplete current week won’t be offered.
- Columns don’t match
- Open “Check sales columns” and select the matching date and net-sales headings. Dates such as 2026-10-05 avoid ambiguity.
- Labor is unavailable
- Check both files have the same dates and location names. If labor is in your sales file, you don’t need a second upload.
- PDF, Excel or a large file
- Export a summary as CSV/TSV, under 2 MB. Avoid individual transactions, customer records and employee records.
- The currency looks wrong
- Choose USD or CAD to match the source report. Weekly doesn’t convert currencies; both files must use the same currency.
